Cleveland, Oh --- In 2001, Mr. Heater revolutionized portable heating with the introduction of the Portable Buddy Indoor Safe Propane Heater.  Providing safe, temporary heat to tents, cabins and RV’s was so successful that Mr. Heater now introduces Buddy’s big brother:  BIG Buddy, the indoor safe portable propane heater that packs a larger heating punch with three heat settings of 4,000, 9,000 and 18,000 BTU/HR.

The BIG Buddy can heat up to 400 square feet, supplying 6 to 12 hours of heat from two, one-pound propane cylinders or 120 to 240 hours of heat from one or two twenty-pound cylinders using optional hose attachments.

BIG Buddy is also the first indoor safe heater of its kind to offer a dual heating system: radiant heat comfort and a fan-powered convection heat airflow using 4 D-cell batteries. Other features include a low oxygen sensor shutoff system; built-in tip over shutoff switch and hose attachment storage compartment under the heater for twenty-pound cylinder connection hoses.

BIG Buddy is CSA approved for temporary indoor and outdoor use in recreational and commercial applications like barns, shelters, RV’s, workshops, work sites, sporting events, storage buildings and camping facilities.  Weighing 15 pounds, BIG Buddy is easily carried from place to place.

The Mr. Heater BIG Buddy will be available at hardware, home center, and farm-related retailers starting this fall at a suggested retail price of $129.95.
